About

I’m a professional programmer, systems administrator, and designer currently employed as the Director of Information Technology at CELEST, a multi-million dollar National Science Foundation funded neuroscience center based at Boston University. Previously I’ve worked as a fulltime freelancer and a developer at Raka Creative, a high-end boutique creative studio focused web design & development.

Living by the ethos αἰέν ἀριστεύειν*, I take a deep pride in the work I do. Confident in my strengths and quick to address my weaknesses, I'm a voracious learner always pushing forward and growing professionally. Learn more about my technical background, or read up on what’s on my mind.

Away from the computer I like to stay active weightlifting, shooting film photography, working on classic motorcycles, and reading Russian literature. I hold two Bachelors degrees from Boston University in Philosophy and Ancient Greek.

I love to meet new people, so if you’re in the Boston area get in touch. The first round is on me.

* Commonly translated as “ever to excel”, it is more accurately translated as remaining in a state of striving to achieve excellence. It is imbued with an Aristotilean sense of accomplishment being found in the act of striving itself, not necessarily in the result.
