CELEST Website

CELEST is a multi-million dollar a year National Science Foundation funded Science of Learning Center. Employed as the Director of IT since November 2009, the CELEST website was built and launched shortly after my arrival.

The site is built from scratch in PHP/MySQL, on top of the MVC Framework CodeIgniter. It features four distinct, but interconnected pieces: the public main site; the administrative panel; a members internal site; and a user-account/login. The administration panel contains a number of administrative tools such as data filtering and direct export to Word or Excel. The internal site features document downloads, research project report filing, and an interactive budget review tool complete with tables, charts, and graphs. Users are managed by the login piece, complete with user-activity and error logging.
